Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know.

Who is maebe made for?+
For everyone who plans and publishes social media — solo or in a team, for yourself or for others: solo creatives, photographers, small agencies, managements, labels, booking teams, musicians and creators with a team. maebe brings planning, media pools, AI suggestions, a calendar and client approval into one place — from the Solo plan to the Studio tier. It gets especially strong wherever someone else has to say “yes” before a post goes out.
Do you need your client, artist, or management to have an account?+
No. Whoever needs to approve simply opens the link on their phone, curates the media, and approves it with a PIN. No login, no account, no app. Optionally, you can protect the link with a password and expiration date — handy when sharing the link with multiple people.
Which platforms do you support?+
In maebe you plan and prepare posts for Instagram (feed, reels, stories, carousels), Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, XING and WhatsApp. Publishing directly from maebe runs via the Social Connect add-on, within each platform’s API rules. Can you collaborate with your team?+
Yes — in three sizes. The Solo plan is made for one-person setups: one team, one user, up to three projects in parallel and, of course, PIN approval. On the Pro plan you work with small teams — up to three teams of three users each, ten projects in parallel, PIN approval and 4K video uploads. The Studio plan is for growing studios and agencies: up to eight teams with unlimited users and projects, 500 GB of media storage per team, video up to 4K, PIN approval, unlimited external approvers and up to five calendar feeds. Every plan has graduated roles — from Owner and Admin through Member and Junior to internal and external approvers — and everyone only sees what they’re cleared for. Especially important in agencies juggling several clients at once.
What if your artist is on tour and doesn’t see the link directly?+
The link has no expiration date unless you set one. You can set up push notifications, Slack or email reminders—even time-based ones (like when no approval after 24 h, send a reminder to :name). And if they forget the PIN, you can regenerate it.
How exactly does PIN release work?+
You set a 4-digit PIN per team or directly per post. You share it once — via WhatsApp, phone, in person. Clicking “Approve” requires the PIN. Every approval is logged with a timestamp and PIN hash. With internal approval users you can also invite approvers straight into the team.
How does data privacy work?+
maebe is hosted in Germany (fully GDPR-compliant). Media is stored encrypted, sharing links are not publicly discoverable and can optionally be password-protected. Upon request, we provide an AV contract (data processing agreement) — a must-have for agencies, labels, and management companies. And one thing we care deeply about: maebe is built EU-first. From domain hosting to CDN, email providers, and server management — nearly every service maebe uses comes from Europe.
How secure are the sharing links?+
Every link has a random URL (e.g. maebe.app/s/7KPA-94mN) that can’t be guessed. You can also enable password protection and an expiration date. Final publishing is always PIN-protected. All actions are logged in the audit trail.
What if your artist is on tour or hard to reach?+
That’s exactly what maebe is made for. The approval link works on any phone, in any time zone, without an account. Optionally, you can set an expiration date — or share it with two people (e.g., artist + management).
Is there a trial period?+
Try maebe for 14 days, no credit card required. You’ll get access to the Solo or Pro plan so you can explore everything at your own pace. After 14 days, your account will simply expire — no automatic subscription unless you actively choose to stay with maebe.
