The first time you sign in, maebe doesn't leave you alone on an empty dashboard. Two small helpers guide your start – both are optional and can be dismissed anytime.
The setup assistant
Right after signing in, a short dialog walks you through the most important basics step by step:
- Team name: Give your workspace a name that fits you. You can change it anytime later in your team settings.
- First project: Projects group your posts – for example per client, campaign or channel. You create your first one right here.
- Approval default: You decide how your posts are usually approved – by you, via an open link, or via a link with a PIN. It's only a default for new posts and you can change it anytime.
You can skip any step, and you can close the whole assistant via Skip in the top right. Want to go through it again later? Open it anytime via the Open setup assistant button in the first-steps overview.
The first-steps overview
On your dashboard you'll find topic tiles with the things worth doing once – from installing the app to your first project and your first shared post, all the way to Link in Bio, the AI features and your calendar feed. Each tile shows its own progress; tapping it unfolds a small to-do list.
So it doesn't overwhelm you, there are two views:
- Quick start – the default. You only see what really matters at the beginning: app installation, projects & posts and (from Pro up) media pools.
- Advanced – everything your plan includes: team & members, approval pools, AI, Link in Bio, radar, visuals and the calendar feed.
You can switch anytime using the small toggle above the progress bar. maebe remembers your choice, so your next visit starts in the same view. The progress bar always counts exactly the tiles you're currently seeing.
The handy part: maebe ticks the boxes automatically as soon as you've done something. You never check anything off by hand. Which tiles appear depends on your plan – larger plans add things like media pools or the radar.
If you don't need the overview (anymore), hide it via Hide.
What about the AI?
Everything around the AI assistant – brand name, perspective, team context, personas and writing samples – lives together under AI assistant. The setup dialog deliberately doesn't ask for it: you can take your time and do it when you first use the AI.
What about Social Connect?
If you've booked the Social Connect extra, a separate short prompt greets you on the dashboard and guides you to connect your first account. You can then publish directly from maebe and receive insights about your posts afterwards.
