Understanding the interface

Menu, icon bar and workspace – how to find your way around maebe.

Approx. 3 min read

maebe always follows the same layout. As soon as you sign in, you'll meet the same areas – whether you're working on a post, a project or your settings.

The header (top)

A slim bar runs across the top:

  • on the left, the menu icon – one tap opens the menu – along with the logo and the path showing where you are right now (for example "Project › Post"),
  • on the right, the bell with your team's activity and the team switcher for jumping between your teams.

You can pin frequently used teams as favorites with the star in the team switcher, so they always stay at the top.

The menu

Tap the menu icon in the top left and the menu opens full screen – close it with the X. It's split into two areas:

  • My day: the Dashboard, Approvals (always visible for approval roles, for everyone else as soon as approvals are waiting) and the Social planner. Tapping "Social planner" takes you to the team overview with all projects; the arrow next to it expands your two most recently active projects plus "More".
  • Tools: the AI Assistant (expands into settings, content suggestions and the campaign assistant), approval pools, media pools, more tools (Link in Bio, visuals, calendar subscription) and Insights (insights, Prime Time, Radar).

Below that sits a small row with Social Connect, MCP server, the help center, support and updates. At the very bottom you'll find the team card with the storage bar, plus your account (avatar and name) and sign-out. On your phone, the team switcher also sits at the top of the menu.

Tip: You can archive finished projects in the team overview (archive icon on the project tile). They disappear from the project grid but are fully kept with all posts and media — the collapsible Archive section at the bottom lets you open or restore them at any time.

The icon bar (desktop only)

On desktop you'll also see a slim icon bar along the left edge – with the Dashboard, Approvals, the Social planner, media pools, Link in Bio, visuals and the AI assistant. Point at an icon and its name appears. It lets you jump to your most important places without opening the menu.

The dashboard quick access

Above the post rows on your dashboard sits a bar with your most frequent destinations: the two create actions on the left (Create post, Create media pool), and next to them jumps into Social planner, media pools, Link in Bio, Visuals, radar and insights. Which tiles show up depends on your plan and your role – only what you can actually use appears.

If you belong to more than one team, a team switcher sits above it. It only switches the bar's destinations, not your active team – so you can quickly create something in another team without leaving the view.

The workspace (center)

This is where the actual work happens. Depending on the page, it's laid out differently:

  • A content column with the main area – that is, the list, the calendar, the editor or the form.
  • A context column on the right with settings, actions and status info about whatever you currently have open. In some views (the calendar, for example) it's hidden so you have more room.

Light or dark

maebe comes in a light and a dark appearance. You set it in your account – maebe remembers your choice.
