The traffic light says "yes, maybe, no" – but not why. For everything that needs more than a color, every image and every video in the media pool has its own comment thread. "A bit brighter please", "the logo is cut off", "this is the one for the cover" – right on the item, not in an email nobody can find again.
How to comment
- Tap an image or video in the media pool – it opens full screen.
- In the bar at the bottom you'll find Comments. The number next to it shows how many there already are.
- Tap it, write your comment and send it.
On the tiles in the overview you'll see a small speech bubble with a number in the bottom right corner – so you can tell at a glance where something was discussed. The bubble only appears when there is something to read.
A comment can be up to 500 characters long. That's enough for a clear point and keeps the thread readable.
Internal or visible to everyone
You decide per comment as you write it:
- Internal – only your team reads along. The right place for "out of focus, but the client likes it".
- Public – also appears on the share page you send to your client.
The default is internal. A comment only becomes public if you actively switch it – so nothing slips out by accident.
Members with the junior role always write internally. Their comments never appear on the share page.
Comments from your client
Once you've shared a pool, anyone with the link can comment too – no account, no sign-in. Those comments show up on your side as "Guest".
Two things worth knowing:
- All guests see each other. If you share the same link with several parties, they read each other's comments – just as they see each other's ratings.
- Every guest is called "Guest". Who exactly wrote something isn't shown. If that matters to you, share a separate pool per party.
Your internal comments stay invisible throughout – and the number on the speech bubble only counts what guests are allowed to read.
Comments cannot be deleted
Once written, a comment stays – including your own. That's on purpose: feedback that can quietly disappear later is no reliable basis for an approval.
If you want to end a discussion, there are two ways: stop sharing the pool (nobody can reach the link any more), or delete the item in question – its comments go with it.
Who gets to know
Every new comment appears in your team's activity feed. One click takes you straight to the item that was commented on.
You will not be notified by email or push – a client working through a gallery would otherwise send you thirty alerts. If you do want to be actively informed, turn it on in your notifications under "Comments".
What's next
Before your client can comment at all, you need the link: Sharing a media pool. And once you agree, turn the selection into a post.
