The grid preview shows your scheduled posts the way they could later appear in the platform's profile grid: as a smartphone mockup with a 3-column grid, newest date top left. Perfect for checking whether your feed works as a whole before anything goes live.
Switching it on and off
Next to the view switcher (tiles / calendar / list) sits the grey "Preview" pill with a small toggle. Switch it on and the smartphone mockup slides in on the left – the rest of the content moves next to it. maebe remembers per project or team whether you switched the preview on or off.
The grid preview is available:
- in a project in all three views (tiles, calendar, list),
- on the team page in the project overview and the team-wide calendar.
What ends up in the grid
- At the top of the mockup you switch between Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- All posts with a target date count – including cross-posts on every platform involved. Recently published posts follow below.
- The preview always shows the posts of all projects in your team combined – after all, your profile is fed by everything you publish.
- Stories don't appear – exactly like on the real profile grid. Carousels and videos are marked with small icons on the tile.
Live view with Social Connect
If a channel of the platform is connected via Social Connect, the preview gets even more real: the grid then shows the posts actually published on your profile, marked with a small "Live" label. Your planned posts stack on top, and posts that are merely marked as "posted" in maebe are hidden for that tab automatically – so nothing appears twice.
- Tapping a live tile opens the post directly on the platform.
- Tapping a planned tile opens the post in the post editor.
The preview keeps up
If you drag a post to a different day in the calendar or change the target date in the list, the grid re-sorts instantly. That way you can experiment while planning to find the order that works best on your profile.
Good to know: The grid preview is a simulation of your planning – it doesn't change your posts and doesn't publish anything.
