You can look at every project in two ways: as a list or as a calendar. Both show the same posts – just arranged differently. At the top of the project you switch between the two views with a single tap.
The list view
The list shows all of the project's posts one below the other. For each post you can see at a glance:
- a preview image or cover,
- the title,
- the chosen platform and format,
- the current status (for example draft, in review or posted),
- the target date, if one is set.
The list is ideal when you want to scroll quickly, edit individual posts or keep an eye on the status of several posts at once.
The calendar view
The calendar arranges your posts by their target date in a monthly or weekly overview. That way you instantly see which days already have something planned and where there are still gaps. It's especially useful for making sure your posts are evenly spread out or for avoiding clusters.
Note: Posts without a target date don't appear in the calendar – they wait in the list until then. As soon as you set a date, they slide into place on the right day.
Creating straight from the calendar: hover over a day – a small plus appears at the top of the cell. Clicking it (or the empty area of the day) opens "Create a post" with that date preset as the target date; you pick the time right in the form. In the team-wide calendar you additionally choose which project the post should be created in.
Hovering over a calendar entry shows a small preview window with the post's image, title and key details – so you can recognise posts without opening them.
On your phone, the calendar shows compact coloured dots per day instead of post cards. Tapping a day opens the day overview with all its posts – from there you open a post or create a new one for that day.
Occasions in the calendar
In the calendar, maebe shows small markers for occasions and theme days – for example public holidays, awareness days or light-hearted theme days like "National Coffee Day". They're meant as a nudge for ideas: at a glance you can see whether a day lends itself to a topic.
The markers are colour-coded by type:
- Accent colour – a good occasion to post about.
- Yellow – a sensitive day: if you do post, do so thoughtfully and without a promotional tone.
- Red – a day where brands are better off being restrained, or staying silent altogether.
Hover over a marker to see the full name and – where available – a short tip.
Use the "Occasions" switch at the top of the calendar to show or hide the markers completely. maebe remembers your choice – some people like the extra context, others prefer a tidy calendar.
Good to know: Occasions are pure inspiration. They don't change anything about your posts, and you don't have to follow them.
The grid preview
Next to the view switcher sits the grey "Preview" pill: it opens a smartphone mockup showing your scheduled posts as a 3-column grid – the way your profile could look on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. You'll find all the details in the dedicated article The grid preview (profile simulation).
Finding and opening a post
In both views the same rule applies: just tap on a post to open it in the post editor. That's where you edit media, text, format and everything else.
- In the list you click on the post's row.
- In the calendar you click on the entry on the relevant day.
Which view, and when?
| View | Good for |
|---|---|
| List | Editing, checking status, quick reviewing |
| Calendar | Scheduling over time, finding gaps, an overview of the month |
Switch between the two as often as you like – maebe doesn't remember anything, and you don't lose anything. To learn how to create new posts, see Creating a post.
